Recommendation to Replace ST155/80R13 Tires on Trailer

Question:

Hello, I have a double seadoo trailer. I have two tires that are currently ST155/80/r13 D type tires. The ST155 are hard to find. Is there an alternative in an ST tire that wont rub against my wheel well and that might even be able to hold more weight? Thanks,

The closest tire size we have available that will allow you to use your existing 13 inch wheels is a ST175/80R13 tire like the Kenda Karrier # AM10210. This radial ply tire has a maximum load capacity of 1,610 pounds at 65 psi and a maximum speed rating of 81 mph.

This tire has an overall diameter/height of 24 inches while your existing set has a 22.7 inch overall diameter. This will give you a difference in height of just around 1.3 inches, however keep in mind that only half of this difference will actually add to the height because the wheel rotates on the axle. With this in mind, the new tire will take up an additional 0.65 inches of your wheel well.

The new tire will have an increase in width of just around 0.78 inches.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this tire that you can check out. I have also attached a couple articles on trailer tires and wheels that you might find helpful.
