Will B and W Fifth Wheel Hitch BWRVK3600 Fit 2017 Ram 3500 with Factory Rail Kit

Question:

My Dually has 17” wheels and is 4 wheel drive, so it sets really high. Will the Champion fifth wheel hitch set up too high for my fifth wheel to be level and still have enough clearance over the truck Bed?

The B and W Companion hitch part # BWRVK3600 is designed specifically to fit the factory rail kit you have in the bed of your 2017 Ram 3500. The height of the truck bed was taken into consideration. The height of the hitch head is adjustable between 17 and 19 inches.

What you can do is measure from the king pin plate on your trailer (not including king pin) down to the ground when level and then measure the distance from your truck bed floor to the ground. If the difference between these two dimensions is between 17 and 19 inches the hitch will fit and work well.

Keep in mind that pin box heights are also adjustable on the trailer so if you need additional adjustability that's an option as well.

Overall though this is the best fifth wheel hitch option available for your truck and the Companion hitches are widely considered to be the nicest hitches around.
