Trailer Hitch and Wiring Fits for 2003 Subaru Legacy Brighton Wagon
Question:
I have a 2003 Subaru Legacy Brighton wagon. I see a hitch for an Outback wagon, but not one specifically for my car. Do you have one that will fit? Thanks!

In reference to the 2003 Subaru Legacy, the term "Brighton" refers to a trim level for the Legacy that was offered in the U.S. We do offer two options in a 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch for both the sedan and wagon versions, both of which are shown on the linked page, Draw-Tite # 36284 and Curt # C12270. I suggest the Curt hitch since it offers a lower price and a higher tongue weight capacity of 350-lbs versus 300-lbs for the Draw-Tite.
My technical contact at Curt confirmed that the Brighton trim level creates no fit issues for this hitch.
If you need a 4-pole wiring kit you can use part # C59236 and for a ball mount use # C45519 along with either 2-inch ball # C40018 or 1-7/8-inch ball # C40001.
