Recommended Tires to Best Resist and Fix Puncture Issues
Question:
Is there a trailer tire that will help prevent punctures ... Nails etc Does the load range help ?

Expert Reply:
There is not a trailer tire that specifically will help prevent punctures, however the load range you mentioned does come with a thicker ply rating as you go firmer. This will help by giving you a thicker sidewall, but other than that, my recommendation is to simply get the roadside assistance offered with Lions Head Westlake brand tires.
For instance, the 15 inch Westlake Load Range E tire # LHWL304 has a 10 ply rating and comes with a 5 year warranty on the tire and 2 years roadside assistance. Although nails won't be covered under the tire warranty, you'd still get the roadside help.
