Spare Tire Carrier Suitable for Use in 2-Inch Hitch on 1997 Jeep Cherokee

My son has a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. Will this swingarm out work on the Cherokee or just on a jeep wrangler? Is this something he could install himself?

The Aries Swing Away Spare Tire Carrier # AA2563000 is intended specifically for use on the 2007 thru 2017 Jeep Wranglers. It is not a fit for the 1997 Cherokee. I checked with Aries to make certain.
But we do have spare tire carrier options that might work. We offer the Curt Universal Spare Tire Carrier # C31006 which fits into a 2-inch hitch. This can be used with anti-rattle lock # 63232 which secures it to the hitch and Spare Tire Lock # e98892 which secures the spare to the carrier.
