Troubleshooting LED Trailer Lights Flashing with 2015 Chevy Silverado
Question:
2015 Silverado 2500. I just replaced all my trailer lights to LEDs. That includes both taillights and and 9 clearance lights. Since, my lights all of them no longer come on when they should. They all of them come on sporadically and stay on for no regular amount of time. Many times, they all of them will just flash on and off. Im assuming this is because of switching to LEDs? Do I need resistors, how many, and placed where?

The first thing you will want to do is make sure you have a good ground for your new lights; oftentimes a poor ground can be the cause of lights acting erratically and this is going to be the most likely cause for your LED lights behaving in the manner they are. It is possible that load resistors # DI34ZR would fix the issue if you are certain your ground is not the problem. They will need to be installed on each circuit of the trailer wiring; the instructions included with this kit have been attached for you to take a look at.
