Recommended Tire Chains for a 2013 Ford F-250 and F-350

Question:

So having learned to drive in Fl and ca snow chains are a new thing. My question is this do I need to install on all 4 tires or will 2 be fine. We are mainly mountain freeway driving to locations through the mountains of Washington.

According to the owner's manual for your 2013 Ford F-250/F-350, tire chains can be used on either two or four tires as long as you do not have 20" wheels and the tire chains are Class S complaint. The choice to install them on two or four tires will remain up to you. However, if you will only be installing tire chains on two tires they will need to both be on the same axle. I also recommend using them on the rear two tires as your truck is rear wheel drive (RWD) and this will give you the best traction.

The two most common tire sizes for your Ford truck are 245/75-17 and 275/65-18. For a set of Class S compliant tire chains I recommend using the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains part # TC2321 for 245/75-17 tires or part # TC2327 for 275/65-18 tires. The Titan Tire Chains have a diamond pattern that offers increased traction and stopping power which is great for both snow and ice.

I have attached a review and installation video of the above tire chains for you as well.
