Replacement Part for Thule J-Style Kayak Carrier
Question:
I need the replacement part for a thule kayak j bar. the only piece I need is the part that goes on top of the bottom of the j bar. The top and bottom of this plastic piece wraps around the j bar and then the bottom metal brace screws into this to hold it on. Can you send me info on getting this one part?

The Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier w/Tie-Downs - J-Style - Fixed - Side Loading # TH834 has the plastic piece as you stated, but this is not a replacement part available for the carrier. I confirmed with my contact at Thule that you would need to replace the entire carrier if that part is damaged as it is the support as well as the mounting for that carrier to your roof rack.
