How to Determine if Thule Force XXL Cargo Box fits 2015 VW Golf Sportwagen and Allow Hatch to Open

Will the thule force xxl fit on 2015 vw golf sportwagen without hitting the back hatch door when it opens?

To determine if you have the clearance to install a Thule Force XXL requires you take one measurement. Measure from the center of your front crossbars (slid all the way forward), back to the rear hatch seam.

The # TH6359B requires 58-1/8 inches of clearance. So if the dimension you found was more than that this box would work well.

I attached a diagram I got from Thule that has all of the front clearance dimensions listed for all of their boxes so if this cargo box would not work you could compare the front clearance you found to the boxes to see what would be the largest one that would work for you.
