Since the Thule Atlantis 1800 XT Cargo Box is no longer produced by the manufacturer, I spoke with my contact at Thule just to confirm that this will work on your vehicle. He stated that the mounting hardware on the box is designed to fit most style crossbars of up to 4 inches in width. He also stated that there is no issue with mounting this sized cargo box on the roof of a sedan like your 2014 Acura ILX.

If you do not yet have a roof rack system installed on your Acura ILX, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack. This system consists of # RRVA126B-2 for the two 49 inch Vortex Aero Crossbars, # RRRLKVA for the 2500 Series Legs, and # DK335 for the Custom DK Fit Kit. This will give you a really nice, aerodynamic roof rack with a weight capacity of 165 pounds. The Thule Atlantis 1800 Cargo Box will be compatible with these crossbars.
