Can Swivel Skid Wheels part # UF48-979013 Attach to Subframe of 2015 Jayco Model Jay Flight 23MB
Question:
2015 Jayco Model Jay Flight 23MB. I want to add a set of 6inch wheels with a plate welded onto the frame as per your installation instructions. The wheel will mount just ahead or in front of the stabalizers so it comes 3inch below the board line. My trailer has a sub frame on the L/S that has the black and grey water drain hanging from it and the frame comes out about 6inch then turns and goes to the rear of the trailer. This sub frame is the same size as the main frame on the R/S. 6foot H beam with a 2inch flange. Do you recommend welding the plate on this L/S sub frame?

Ultra Fab states that welding the Swivel Skid Wheels part # UF48-979013 directly to the frame is the best route, but it leaves the door open for other areas as well. A subframe that is properly reinforced like yours would be fine and would be a great place to install them.
