What is the Capacity of Curt Weight Distribution System without the Spring Bars

Is the 1000 TW and 10,000 GTW without using the WD spring bars? If not what is the capacity without using the bars? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Curt Weight Distribution System, # 17302, as a whole is rated for 1,000 pounds tongue weight and 10,000 pounds gross trailer weight. If the spring bars are not connected, the system will be rated for whatever the vehicle is rated for. Check the owners manual to determine the amount of tongue weight and gross trailer weight your vehicle is capable of. I have included a link to our weight distribution FAQ article for you to view.
