Bed Rail Solution for a Roof Top Tent on a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab

Will the inno truck bed rails fit a 99 ram 1500 quad cab for a roof top tent mounting door facing tail gate will support the weight tent weights about 190 lbs thanks

I have a solution for you, however there aren't any confirmed in the bed rail fits for the 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab that can support the weight of the tent plus occupants. The Inno Bed Rail rack, part # INRT101 is only rated for 190 pounds, so it would likely fail if you got into the tent while equipped.

Instead, I recommend the Erickson # EM07706 truck bed ladder rack rated for 800 pounds and uses traditional shaped crossbars, giving you the best chance of compatibility with the tent.

That being said, you'll need some sort of solution to reach the tent if it doesn't already come equipped with an extendable ladder or other solution. If you have an exposed bar on the outside of the tent, then you may be happy with Rhino Rack's Pioneer ladder, part # RRRAFL as a solution for access. This can attach over a bar and fold up when not in use, letting you have quick access to your roof tent.
