Can Curt 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness be Adapted to Plug into Back of 2016 Jeep Cherokee Connector
Question:
I have a 2016 Cherokee with the factory plug but no harness. I would like to use part number C56208. Is there an adapter that I could use from the T connector to the back of the factory plug?

Expert Reply:
The connector on your 2016 Jeep Cherokee will not accept any of the connectors on Curt wiring harness # C56208. There is an adapter, # PK11933, that will plug into the back of the factory connector you have but the Curt harness would not plug into it either. You would have to hardwire in the 4-Way's wires to the adapter but cutting off the connectors on both. Then it could work.
From I understand though you may need to have the computer in the vehicle flashed or reprogrammed for the wiring harness to work.
