What Does all Pins of 4-Way Harness having Power When Vehicle is off Indicate
Question:
I have a Curt trailer hitch and wiring kit on my 2014 Ford Taurus - wiring kit #C56093. Its been working great all summer, but I recently noticed my trailer lights werent working. Checked the wiring, and the power feed wire for the converter in the trunk had snagged and been ripped loose. Replaced the wire, trailer lights still dont work. Bought a Curt 58260 tester, but came with no instructions. Watched your review video, that helped. The tester lights all stay on even when the car is shut off - wondering what that means? Thinking maybe the trailer lights converter may be shorted out?

What you described is a shorted out trailer wiring converter box. When all of the pins are hot all of the time that indicates that the box had an internal short and it needs to be replaced. The Curt harnesses are known to short out a bit easier than the Tekonsha kits like part # 118599 which is a fit for your 2014 Ford Taurus so this would be what I would recommend for your replacement.
Be sure to go over your trailer's wiring to determine if there are any obvious shorts on it's wiring that you need to fix.
