Is Demco HiJacker Auto-Slide 5th Wheel Hitch Compatible with Sidewinder Pivoting Pin Box
Question:
I am buying a Grand Design Reflection 150 series fifth wheel 295,with a turning point swivel pin box. I now have a Demco Hijacker Autoslide Hitch in my pick up [6.5 bed]. Do you think the two will work with each other? I would like to go with a lighter hitch down the road any suggestions .GVWR 9995lbs,Hitch weigh 1391lbs.

The Demco Hijacker Auto-Slide 5th wheel hitches such as 18K-rated # DM8550024 are not compatible with Sidewinder, Revolution or any other pivoting pin boxes or any other adapter device that changes the trailer's king pin pivot point.
Standard (manual) slider hitches can be used with Sidewinders if they are kept locked in their forward travel position at all times. And of course fixed hitches are perfectly compatible with Sidewinders.
