Bolt On Curt Weight Distribution Frame Brackets Recommendation
Question:
Can the chain lift brackets be either welded onto the trailer frame or bolted down with through bolts instead of just relying on the 1/2inch bolts friction to hold the bracket in place?

Curt offers a chain hanger that is designed to bolt to the side of a trailer frame, part # C17005. You could easily use these with the Curt kit part # C17062 that you referenced. I am sure welding or bolting on the hangers that come with the kit would be fine, but it's not the recommended way to install them.
