Roof Frame or Wheel Bike Rack for a Rhino Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack

Hi there! I ordered a Rhino Roof rack for my boyfriends chevy volt from you guys which is awesome, by the way! and I was wondering if you could tell me if this swagman upright bike rack is compatible with it? We are looking for something affordable where he doesnt have to take any bike tires off to put the bike up there. Thanks so much!

I have a few solutions for you, but the Swagman Upright, part # S64720 is not compatible with the Rhino Rack 2500 series roof rack. The Upright only works with square, round and some factory bars.

Instead, I recommend the Thule ProRide XT, part # TH598004. This rack is a frame mount clamp that will fit to the channels of the RhinoRack crossbars, part # RRVA118B-2 that you have, and provide a good, solid mount for your bikes. It doesn't include locks, but they can be added as part # TH450200.

I also recommend the Malone Pilot TC ST Roof rack, part # MPG2103. This is a wheel-mount rack which uses a clamp on the wheel of the bike, rather than the frame to hold the bike in place. You will not remove the front wheel to use this rack. This rack does include a lock for the bike. This is also a more economical rack than the Thule ProRide XT.
