Recommended Replacement Tire For 10 Inch Wheels On Utility Trailer

Question:

I would like to replace my current tires on my utility trailer which are tens. I would like to go up in size to like 12 or 13 but not sur. I haul empty portable toilets on them about 6 at a time each weighing about 50 lbs each. I would like something that is good on the road but will be able to handle the grass/mud where the units get ped off at. Any suggestions for the best wheel, I looked at the following but wasn't sure. Kenda KR25 ST145R12 Radial Trailer Tire with 12inch Aluminum Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range D Item # AM31208 thank you for your help.

It sounds like you need a tire that can handle all terrains including off-road areas. I recommend Kenda KR25 ST145R12 Radial Trailer Tire w/12 inch Aluminum Wheel Item # AM31208. This tire and wheel combination has a section width of 5.7 inches and an outer diameter when inflated of 21.3 inches. It fits a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern and has a maximum load capacity of 1220-lbs at 65 psi.

To make sure this option will work for you, you will need at least 3-4 inches between the tire tread and the underside of the fenders and 1-2 inches from the sidewall to the trailer.

Another option to consider if these will not work is the Kenda Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire Item # AM1HP54. It is a top-quality, 10 inch bias tire that is designed to work on all-terrains including off-road situations. It provides a smooth ride and has a load capacity of 1330-lbs at 70 psi.
