Can RV Gas Grill Use Accessory Hose for Connection to Larger Gas Source

Question:

I noticed in some of the comments that this product wont work with certain portable grills. Im looking at getting a Coleman Roadtrip LXX that can take the small bottles, or with a hose, can be used with a regular 20# tank. However, my pop-up camper has a quick connect that can be used to hook up the stove or other appliances. I noticed that some of the hoses Ive found on other sites that would run directly from a propane tank to the grill do not have a regulator on them. Im assuming this grill possibly has some type of built in regulator. If I bought this hose and connected it to the quick connect on my camper and to the grill, would the regulator that is on the camper at the propane tanks affect the performance of the grill?

We do not offer the Coleman Roadtrip XXL gas grill but based on my research it can use a hose like 6-foot # 100476-72-MBS or the longer 10-foot # 100476-120-MBS. This grill does have individual gas controls for each of its two burners.

Usually there are issue only when trying to use a smaller propane source, one that delivers less pressure that what the appliance requires. For example, if the device was made for 20-lb tanks as the source it would not get enough pressure from a small disposable gas cylinder.
