Tow Bar Lighting Recommendation for 2001 Land Rover Discovery II

Question:

I have a 1992 Beaver Contessa, 2001 Land Rover Discovery and a Roadmaster Falcon II bar. I have in my cart the base plate for the LR and the Airforce one for supplemental brake system. I can’t tell from the write up of the Airforce whether I will need additional wiring to activate turn signals or not it only references brake light activation. Can you provide me with any additional equipment I will need other than what I have currently and what I have in my cart for check out please. Thank you,

Supplemental braking does not activate vehicle turn signals when being flat towed so you'd need to install a tow bar lighting kit to allow that.

For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.

You'll want safety cables too as part # RM-643.
