Tire Cable Recommendation for 2015 Subaru AWD with Tire Size 225/60R18
Question:
Just purchased the 2015 AWD Subaru outback. The CHP said I need to carry chains with me for emergency conditions. He recommended cable type. The tires are 225/60-R-18. Which products would you recommend for an occasional trip to the Southern California Mountains? TIA

Expert Reply:
For a cable setup that fits your tire size of 225/60R18 we have the part # PW1046 as a fit that would work well. I attached an install video that shows cables installed on a similar 2016 Outback as yours as well.
Cables are perfect for your application as they are inexpensive, easy to install, and don't require much clearance.
