There is a solution for you to use a weight distribution system with your motor home. I recommend you use a system with chain hangers such as the Reese Strait-Line # RP66074, as height will not be an issue. Width still matters though, and the Strait-Line can only be used if your trailer's frame is a maximum of 2-1/2" wide.

The Reese system is for total tongue weights between 700 lbs and 1,200 lbs, and in order to choose the most appropriately rated weight distribution hitch, you will first need to know your total tongue weight (TW), which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to go trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your motor home.

To determine TW you can use a scale such as the etrailer # e99044 or by using one of the methods outlined in the help article on determining TW I've linked for you. The ideal system would be one in which your TW would fall somewhere in the middle of the weight distribution system's tongue weight capacity.

Please keep in mind that the hitch on your motor home and aluminum trailer must also be rated for using a weight distribution system. You can contact the manufacturer of your trailer to find out if it is rated for use with a WDS.
