Troubleshooting Step Light Remaining on After Installing Lippert Electric Coach Step Control Module

On, installed fine fixed my problemgreat. Only problem I have is light under step stays on all the time. I do something wrong?

The Lippert Electric Coach Step Control Module # LC301702 is the correct part for both Lippert and Stromberg Carlson brands of electric RV steps. The black wire on this part connects to the step light, and the purple wire connects to the step light's switch. It sounds like the black and purple wires may be reversed in your installation.
