Fitting a 2012 Toyota RAV4 with the Rhino Rack Nautic Kayak Carrier

Will the rr570 fit on my toyota 2012 rav 4 ?: Do i need tie downs for the front and back support lines?

To fit the Rhino Rack Nautic kit, part # RR571 for side loading and part # RR571 for rear loading, to your 2012 Toyota RAV4 will require that you have a roof rack installed.

These are not confirmed fits for the Toyota RAV4's factory rails, however you can check for compatibility by measuring your bars' height and width. The Nautics will fit crossbars that are up to 3-7/8 inches wide and 1-3/8 inches tall.

If they aren't correctly sized, or you don't have a roof rack installed, you can easily add one.

If you have a naked roof, you'll be able to add a Rhino Rack Roof Rack consisting of:

Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Bar Kit, part # RRVA126B-2
Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs, part # RRRLKVA
Rhino Rack DK Fit Kit for 2500 Series, part # DK043

If you have factory rails that run front to back, you'll add the RhinoRack Vortex Stealth, part # JA7951 to your vehicle. These are low profile racks that will let you mount the Nautic carrier easily to your vehicle.

For tying down, the Nautic carriers do include all of the required tie downs to secure your kayak. A set of Malone Quik-Loops, part # MPG308 will give you an easy to use set of loops to attach to in your hood and trunk, lowering the risk of your vehicle being damaged by the tiedowns.
