How to Find the Correct Bearings, Seals, and Bearing Buddies for Trailer

Question:

I have a 2011 OutdoorsRV Timber Ridge 240RKS and Im looking for spare parts. I think it has Alko 5200lb axles with electric brakes. I need to know what bearings, seals and brake kit I need and also the hub bore for bearing buddies. I was hoping I could order the parts without pulling the thing apart.

It would certainly make things easier if there was a way to find the correct bearings and seals without taking it apart, but that's really the only way. You'll need to look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you would need to use a digital caliper such as # PTW80157 and measure your spindle to the thousandths of an inch where the bearings ride.

As for brakes, those are a bit easier, since you mentioned you have 5,200 lbs axles. We carry brake assemblies for an axle with that weight rating which are for 12" x 2" drums that have wheels which are between 14-1/2" and 16" with a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern. For self-adjusting brakes I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA. I have added a video review of these assemblies for you to take a look at.

I've also added a link to a help article on common bearing sizes, as well as a link to our available bearings, seals and caps.
