Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch Adapter for a 2013 Ram 3500 Using the B&W Patriot Slider

Question:

I have a BandW patriot slider that I purchased from you guys. I was using it in my 2016 F-250, but now Id like to use the same hitch in my 2013 Ram 3500. The Ram has the factory puck system and the F-250 does not. I mounted the rails in the bed of the F-250 because it does not have the puck system. Im looking for an adapter that mounts into my Ram puck system that my BandW patriot slider will mount to. Id need it rated for at least the 18k that the patriot is good for and I prefer it to be as low profile as possible because the Ram sits higher that the F-250 so I want to add as little extra height as possible. I only see two options... the Reese and the Demco. Are there other manufacturers? Which would fit my needs the best? Thanks in advance.

Out of the Reese Adapter # RP30154 and the Demco Adapter # DM6099, which are currently the only options that we carry for your 2013 Ram 3500, the Demco is what you will want to go with. Either one will work great with the B&W Patriot Slider # BWRVK3270 or any other 5th wheel hitch that is compatible with industry standard rails.

Both options will convert the puck system on your Ram to industry standard rails, but the Demco will only add 1-3/8 inches of height as opposed to the 2 inches that the Reese option adds. The Demco and Reese adapters are both rated for up to 25K so they will not lower the weight capacity of the B&W Patriot.

I have attached review videos for each adapter for you to check out.
