Solution for Tight Clearance Between Hitch Ball and Rear Bumper on 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
Just a note about this product for use on 2018 Subaru Outback Limited - Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 Item # 75673. I paired it with the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2inch Hitches - 2inch Ball - 2inch Rise, 4inch Drop - 7.5K, Item # C45554 because I need a 2inch rise. This left me with just over an inch of clearance between my bumper and the ball. Youll want to let buyers know to buy a ball mounts of AT LEAST 8.25 in length and nothing shorter. Mine is 8.25 and its a bit too close for comfort. I would buy something longer on your site, but you dont have any longer true 2inch rises they are all closer to 2.5inch based on your videos and I cant go higher. Hope that helps another customer. I have photos if thats helpful too.

Thank you for sharing this information with us. The Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75673 is a bit more hidden on the 2018 Outback Wagon, which pushes the receiver back away from the outer edge of the rear bumper. We really appreciate you letting us know this.
I recommend taking a look at the Curt Class III Drawbar # C45270. This might offer a better solution for your vehicle if you are concerned with the small space between the ball and the bumper. This ball mount features the 2 inch rise you are needing and a longer 13 inch shank to provide you with more clearance. It has a towing weight capacity of 7,500 pounds.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
