The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part # 90885 is an excellent choice for a brake controller on your 2004 Toyota Tundra with the factory tow package. It is a proportional brake controller which means it will apply the brakes on the trailer at the same time and with the same strength as you apply the brakes in your Tundra.
The Tekonsha Wiring Harness, part # 3040-P is the correct wiring adapter that will allow you to plug in the brake controller to the factory brake controller port located under the dash. The factory brake controller port is underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column. It is usually taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
I am including a link to a video of the Prodigy P2 and # 3040-P adapter being installed on a 2010 Toyota Tundra. Also, I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Prodigy P2 brake controller.
Since you have the factory 7-Way on your vehicle the only other part you might need is an adapter, if you do not have a 7-Way connector on your horse trailer. If you have a 6-Way connector on your horse trailer you can use the Hopkins Adapter 7-Way to 6-Way, part # 47549. This adapter will let you connect the 7-Way on your vehicle to a 6-Way on your horse trailer.
