Can Andersen Levelers be Used on 5th Wheel Tandem Axle Trailer with Minimal Space Between Tires

Question:

I really would like two leveler for my tandem axle fifth wheel trailer so as not to torque the suspension by only raising one wheel. Do you know what spacing is needed to fit one in between the tires? Thank You

The Andersen Rapid Jack # AM3620 referenced in your question measures 17 inches in length. Since you are wanting to use this type of stabilizer on your tandem axle trailer, I recommend going with the slightly shorter model # AM3604. This leveler measures 15 inches in length. It will provide leveling at any increment from 1/2 inch to 4 inches.

I have spoken with my contact at Andersen in the past regarding using these for tandem axle trailers where there is minimal space between the tires. There is not a specific minimum space needed, but these are designed to work on almost any trailer on the market. If needed, the leveler can also be cut down to size with a miter saw so they better fit your particular trailer. Andersen does state that this is okay to do.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
