7-Way and Junction Box Kit Recommendation for Trailer with 4-Way
Question:
I currently have trailer without brakes. Would like to add brakes but not sure if its better to rewire from scratch using 7 wire cable or just use existing 4 wires and add the two wires needed for electric brakes. Would using existing wires and junction box make more sense?

I'd go with adding a junction box and a 7-way but still using your current light's wiring if it's still good. For that we have the part # HS381-9000 which matches what you need perfectly. It's designed for upgrading a trailer with a 4-way to a 7-way and comes with a junction box and 7-way.
