Recommended Adjustable Ball Mount to Allow Drop for Trailer Coupler to Ride Level
Question:
I am considering a Curt Trailer Hitch for my Tacoma Access 4x4. Bottom of bumper to ground is 21, which seems higher than other Tacomas I see on road. What ball mound should I be looking for to pull a utility trailer. 2inch might not be enough Im thinking. What are my options?

For a 2 inch hitch like the Curt Class III # 13323, you will want to make sure you have a custom fit for your truck. If you give me the year, I am happy to assist in getting you a hitch receiver confirmed to fit properly.
I recommend an adjustable ball mount so you can tow multiple trailers level. I have attached an article to assist with this whether you decide to use a fixed mount for a specific trailer or an adjustable mount to give you more options. I've linked the page to all your fixed mount options so you can use the drop needed in the margin to narrow your options.
For an adjustable mount, I recommend the Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ballmount - 2" & 2-5/16" Balls - 14,000 lbs # C45900. This will give you up to 6 inches of drop adjustable in 1 inch increments. You also may want to consider the Curt Lock Set for Adjustable Channel-Style Mounts # C23556 to secure your investment.
