Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendations for a 2007 Ford Ranger
Question:
For the hitch Item # C12012 is there drilling required for installing on my 07 ranger? Will this hitch Item # C12012 fit with a full size spare tire?

Drilling is required to install Curt Class II trailer hitch # C12012 on your 2007 Ford Ranger. The instructions state that relocation of the spare tire bracket is not required but does not mention anything about the hitch interfering with the spare. We haven't had complaints about it so unless the spare tire is larger than the stock ones that could be on the truck you won't have an issue.
All of the available trailer hitches for your truck will involve drilling.
If you go with the Curt Class II hitch the recommended ball mount is # C45518 and it will take a ball with a 3/4 inch diameter shank.
For trailer wiring you can use # HM40655 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle. It plugs in line with the vehicle tail light wiring.
