Trailer Brake Controller Connection Port Location in 2017 Infiniti QX80
Question:
Im moving my P3 controller purchased from you from a 2014 to 2017 Infiniti QX80. Im struggling to find the harness location which is apparently in a different location on the new model year. I assume the 3050 harness will still work. Pictures or advise would be helpful.

Your Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 will install in your 2017 Infiniti QX80 using the same wiring adapter part # 3050-P that was used in your 2014 model year vehicle. The connection port should be in the same general location as in the other vehicle but it will usually be tucked behind and/or taped to other wiring under the dash. It can be tough to spot this at first glance.
The port location is typically behind the dash kick plate which is above and to the right of the brake pedal. My contact at Tekonsha confirmed that to their knowledge the port is in the same general location as on the earlier model year.
Do note that in order for the vehicle to have the under-dash port it must have a factory-installed 7-way trailer connector.
