Recommendation for 2 Bike Rack To Fit a 2011 Honda Insight
Question:
I need a bike rack for 2 bikes that can go on my 2011 Honda Insight. The straps will need to attach to a glass hatchback. Im looking at the Yakima FullBack3 but Im concerned about hooking it to the glass hatch and if the bottom of the rack can damage the glass back the 2011 has an additional glass window on the back, beneath the hatch. Have you succesfully used one on a 2011?

I would say that the Yakima FullBack rack, item # Y02633, that you mentioned would be the best choice for your vehicle. Yakima recommends this rack for your vehicle and notes that the hooks installed in the bike rack work with glass hatches.. Yakima physically tests their racks on the vehicles they recommend them for.
The Thule Passage, # TH911XT, rack is recommended by Thule, but does not include a glass hatch hook like the Yakima rack does, so I would vote for the Yakima rack in this particular case.
At this time we have not had the opportunity to install either of these racks on the 2011 Honda Insight.
You may find that a better option would be to install a trailer hitch on the Insight, the Curt Trailer Hitch, item # 11051, would be capable of carrying 2 bikes, and the Swagman XC Bike Rack, item # S64650, would be a good combination and very safe for your vehicle and the bikes. You would need to add the Curt bike rack strap, item # 18050, to complete this setup.
