Can the Convert-A-Ball Adapter # CAB-C5GX1216 be Used on a 2017 Ram 3500 with the Factory Rail Kit

Question:

I bought your C5G1216 gooseneck adaptor for my 2017 3500 Ram, so I can keep my truck bed. Ive been towing with a fifth wheel hitch for years and do not like the room it takes and the weight. My fifth wheel is 31.6 long with a 10,000 lb dry weight. Good to go right!

If you already have a gooseneck hitch ball and safety chain loops, like the Reese part # RP30140, installed on your 2017 Ram 3500 with a factory rail kit, then the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset # CAB-C5GX1216 will allow you to tow your 5th wheel trailer without using a 5th wheel hitch. You do need to swap out the hitch ball though if it has a plastic latch. The Curt # C60601 can be used as a replacement since it has the metal latch on top.

The adapter has a 12 - 16 inch height adjustment and has an offset of 7-1/2 inches. It does come with a 2-year limited warranty, but keep in mind that adapters like this can often void the warranty on your trailer.
