Brake Assembly Recommendation for Dexter Axles Rated for 5,000 lbs
Question:
I have a cronkhite two axel trailer with a Dexter model slr axels. Want to replace hydraulic brakes on one axel wt 5000 lb. Your akubrk 7 looks like a fit . Can you let me know or you need more info.

Expert Reply:
Dexter SLR does not indicate the weight capacity of the axle, but if you have 5.2k rated Dexter axles the assembly part # AKUBRK-7L would be the correct left hand brake assembly. Or if you need both sides you'd want the part # AKUBRK-7 which includes a left hand and a right hand side.
These fit the standard Dexter style brake mounting flanges found on 5.2 to 7k rated axles that have a 5 bolt mounting pattern.
