Installing a Hopkins Brake Controller in a Class A 2015 Winnebago Forza 34T on Freightliner Chassis
Question:
Im trying to locate the OEM plug for a brake controller, apparently under the dash near the steering column, in my 2015 Winnebago Forza 34T DP, which is on a Freightliner XCS chassis. I have a Hopkins brake controller with 4 wires, red, black, white and blue. I understand the various circuits on the brake controller. I am not able to 100 identify the plug under the dash for the brake controller. Does anyone have an idea what it looks like, and more importantly, what color wires are coming from the Freightliner harness foe the various brake controller signals? Thx!

If your 2015 Winnebago Forza 34T DP has a factory trailer connector, then the adapter plugs into the 6-pin connector in your vehicle's junction box. The box is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column. There is not a harness for your Hopkins brake controller, so I recommend the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3027-P and then cut and splice matching colors and functions.
If you don't have a factory trailer connector, then you will need to use the # ETBC7 kit to hardwire your controller along with the extra wire # 10-2-1. You can use a circuit tester like # 3808 to test for functions with the wiring under the dash. Unfortunately I don't have the color coding to help on that end.
