Balls are Loose on Rapid Hitch Adjustable, Aluminum Ball Mount Kit AM3410
Question:
My balls are loose! Ha! I thought I would get your attention with that line. I have owned this hitch for many years now12-15 and the two ball system wiggles significantly. I am wondering if their is any way to replace them or do I have to buy a new hitch at this point? I think I would love a hitch that takes all of the play out of the hitching system but this hitch has been great for a lot of years! Thanks in advance!

Well, it worked! I even had another guy come over and give it a read.
It is possible that the many years of pushing and pulling on your balls have enlarged the hole they fit in causing the movement you are experiencing. You could disassemble the big unit and check to see if there is damage to the rod that holds the balls or any of the other parts but to me it just sounds like it needs to be put out to pasture, so to speak.
I know you had a great experience with this ball mount but I did want to provide you with all the options so I have included a link below to all of the 2 inch, aluminum adjustable ball mounts with 2 balls we carry. The Fastway models, such as # FA42-00-2600, are becoming popular.

My balls are loose as well, Ive owned this product for roughly 6 years and its been great. But Ive noticed my big ball sinks in a bit, not so much that tongue of my trailer sits on the hitch and the 2inch ball small one its neck extends out a bit. Am I in dire need of new rapid hitch or is this normal.
