For your 2017 Chevy Colorado, the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-523182-5 is the base plate kit you need. These base plates do not work with the bar that goes across the brackets and will only work with certain Roadmaster tow bars. These base plates are compatible with the Sterling # RM-576, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2 # RM-422, Falcon # RM-522, or Falcon 2 # RM-520 or # RM-525. The EZ5 base plates are not compatible with hitch ball style tow bars.
You will also need the safety cables # RM-643 with all but the Sterling model. You will also need a wiring kit, supplemental braking system, and a high low adapter. Let me know if you'd like some recommendations for your vehicle.
