Recommended 7 Pole to 4 Way Adapter for 2012 Porsche Cayenne

Question:

Hi - I have a 2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo with the factory towing package. The female plug does not have a spring loaded door/cover. It is secured to a solid cover w/4 screws. When I remove the cover and access the plug nothing remains to hold it in place. I plan on ordering the Pollak adapter to allow the conversion from 7 flat prongs to 4 prong trailer wiring. Do I need to purchase another item that will hold everything together and provide an access door? Thanks,

The Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter # PK12716 referenced in your question will allow you to quickly convert the 7-pole on your vehicle to a 4-way flat to connect with your trailer. This will plug right into the existing 7-Way and the adapter does feature a tethered cap that will cover the 4-Way and protect it from the elements. You will not need any additional parts to use this adapter on your Porsche Cayenne.
