Recommended Ball Mount with 2 Inch Drop and Long Shank
Question:
Just got new to me 2011 Honda Pilot with factory installed Class III hitch. I need a 2inch ball mount with 2inch drop. I also would like to have a longer length ball mount that might enable me to use the rear lift door while my trailer is hooked up. I have a 1975 Murray Tilt trailer that does not have a lot of tongue length. Any suggestions? Many thanks

For a ball mount that will give you a 2-inch drop and a longer extension, I recommend looking at the Brophy Ball Mount # BM20. This sturdy steel ball mount is compatible with 2-inch hitch receivers and provides either a 2-inch drop or a 3/4-inch rise. This unit also features an extra long shank that measures 13-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. You can measure out this distance from the center of the hitch pin hole on your receiver to see exactly where the ball platform will sit. This is the longest ball mount we currently have available that will give you a 2 inch drop.
I have also attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can check out.
