Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2010 Toyota Prius
Question:
I need a Trailer Wiring Kit for my 2010 Prius. Do you have one that has the option that allows separate stop and turn signals when needed and has the interface to protect the cars electrical system? I see the CURT Custom Wiring Harness #56147, but it combines the signals. Thanks

Expert Reply:
None of the trailer wiring harnesses we offer have the turn signal and brake lights separate as the standard for trailer wiring is for those circuit to be combined. Best option we'd have is to install the part # C56147 like you mentioned and then use a converter box on the trailer you tow to separate out the circuits. For that you'd need the # 118158 which will do this.
