Gooseneck and 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Recommendations for a 2009 Ford F-350
Question:
Can I have the newer hitch that is on the 2011s put on my 09? I need a hitch installed and I like the design.

There is a similar installation kit for the 2009 Ford F-350 Super Duty, but it only allows a 5th wheel trailer hitch to be installed and not an underbed gooseneck hitch like # RP30138-26 for the 2011 Ford Super Duty trucks.
If you just want the underbed system for a 5th wheel hitch, you will need the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit, # RP30073. This kit is designed to be used only with the Elite Series of 5th wheel hitches like # RP30144 for a short bed or # RP30921 for a long bed. I have included a link to the installation details for the install kit for you to view.
There is a gooseneck hitch that can also be used with the Under-Bed system. If you remove the hitch from the rails, you can then insert the Reese Elite Series Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, # RP30845. This hitch was specifically designed to fit in the Elite Series Under-Bed Rail system.
