Troubleshooting Intermittent Trailer Connection Through 7-Ways

Question:

My current 7 plug fifthwheel truck connector and trailer plug are repeating telling me the brake has disconnected. I want to replace the truck side and the trailer side. I see other items that I am not sure I need. So what do I need. 2015 ram 2500

Before you replace the 7-way have you tried cleaning off the pins of both? When we see what you described it's almost always corrosion on the pins preventing a solid connection.

For just a 7-way replacement socket you'd want the part # PK11893 though and then for the trailer side you'd want the # PK12706.
