Recommendation on a 2,000 Lbs EZ Lube Axle Configuration for a Trailer
Question:
can the 2200 lb. axle be used instead of a 2000 lb. model? Im not looking to increase weight capacity, just get the ez-lube feature. Im not sure if the 2200lb axle has more camber bend in it because of the increased capacity. Also are ez-lube hubs required for ez-lube operation, or will my existing hubs operate with the ez-lube?

I have a solution for you for a trailer axle that will give you the EZ Lube spindle feature. Instead of the traditional tube axle, I recommend you look at on of the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension Systems, like # A20RS545. The Axle-Less system will mount to trailers frame and this system can be used in a tandem axles setup is desired. Timbren does not recommend using this system in a triple axle configuration.
The Timbren system will allow you to install an independent suspension system with 2,000 lbs capacity on your trailer. The system uses AEON rubber spring technology that will allow eliminate the need for leaf springs, shackles, hangers, and bolts. Less moving parts that can bind and fail on your trailer. Also with the elimination of the axle tube, like # T20BRT-EZ-6048, you will gain under-the-trailer ground clearance.
The # A20RS545 set will include hubs with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern and the Timbren Axel-Less Suspension have the EZ Lube spindles installed. The set will include bearings, seal, and all hardware needed.
