4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness for 2015 Toyota Highlander

Question:

I need a trailer wiring kit for my 2015 Toyota Highlander. I purchased the factory tow package which came only with the hitch ball mount and no wiring. I dont know if I have a converter under the dash for the trailer light wiring package. How do I tell. Thanks.

The best way to confirm exactly what factory equipment has been installed in your vehicle is to contact your local dealership with the vehicle VIN. This allows the dealer to look up all of the production details for that specific vehicle.

This is the best way to go since exactly what individual items constitute a "trailer towing package" are NOT standardized and could vary considerably. Some auto makers' tow package may mean a hitch only; or it could mean a hitch and wiring; or a hitch and transmission cooler, etc, etc. Sometimes some of these items are factory-installed while others may be a dealer-installed option!
