I have a better trailer wiring solution that will cost less and will install much easier on your 2007 Toyota Highlander. For that you'd want the part # 118413 which is a custom fit harness for your vehicle. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well that will walk you through it. An install instructions link is also attached below as well.
The Hopkins kit is a universal style kit and would require you to go in and test the wiring of your vehicle and then splice into that wiring with quick splices. Specific install instructions for your vehicle are not available.
