Wiring Instructions for the Curt Soft Trac Charger

You are correct that the Red wire from the Charger for Curt Soft Trac I and II Trailer Breakaway Kits # C52025 is connected to the Battery, the White is connected to Ground, the Blue is connected to the Breakaway Switch. The Black wire that you are asking about will be spliced into the 12V Power wire on your trailer. This should be the wire connected to the pin in the 11 O'clock position on your trailer's 7-Way connector (see attached picture). You can test this out by connecting your trailer to your tow vehicle and using a Circuit Tester # PTW2992 to see if that wiring has constant power.
