Since this rack uses the quietest type of crossbar, the aero (elliptical) style, it will make much less wind noise than a typical round or square bar rack. For this reason you do not need to spend the extra cash on a fairing # RRRF3. Because these Vortex bars are so aerodynamic they will actually be quieter than the fairing! The fairings are great for square and round bar racks but you really don't need one on this Vortex rack setup.
